      Designed as a family-friendly setting, the Cricket Room offers a variety of culinary options, ranging from contemporary cuisine to classic Club choices, in an environment welcoming to members of all ages.

      As the social hub of the Club’s dining activities, the Cricket Room serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Presenting exceptional value and a wide selection certain to please a range of palates, the Cricket Room’s competitively priced menus feature the freshest ingredients available, locally sourced whenever possible. The majority of the menu items rotate at least monthly, showcasing the creativity of the Club’s culinary team while striking a balance between current trends and traditional Club fare.

      The warm and welcoming Cricket Bar provides an ideal setting for socializing with fellow members or entertaining guests. The full Cricket lunch and dinner menus and specialty drink items are available in the Bar daily.

      The Founder’s Room serves as an extension of the Cricket Room dining experience. The Founder’s Room may also be used as a private dining space for small gatherings.

      In an adult-only setting, the Furness Room offers a formal yet comfortable dining experience during the winter months to members and guests 18 years of age and older. Open Thursday through Sunday for dinner, the Furness Room serves a variety of culinary options ranging from contemporary cuisine to classic Club selections in an intimate environment appealing to the Club’s multi-generational membership.

      Presenting exceptional value and a wide selection certain to please a range of palates, the Furness Room’s competitively priced menus feature the freshest ingredients available, locally sourced whenever possible. The majority of the menu items rotate at least monthly, showcasing the creativity of the Club’s culinary team while striking a balance between current trends and traditional Club fare.

      Overlooking the Great Lawn, the Porch provides a formal alfresco dining experience. In a singular, comfortable atmosphere, the Porch serves a variety of culinary options ranging from contemporary cuisine to classic Club selections to appeal to the Club’s multi-generational membership. During the summer months, the Porch bustles with activity and events such as live music, cocktails in the lounge, wine tastings and watching athletic competitions on the Great Lawn.

      As a seasonal venue, the Porch is open daily for lunch and dinner from early May through September or early October, depending on the weather. Presenting exceptional value and a wide selection certain to please a range of palates, the Porch’s competitively priced menus feature the freshest ingredients available, locally sourced whenever possible. The majority of the menu items rotate monthly or more, showcasing the creativity of the Club’s culinary team while striking a balance between current trends and traditional Club fare.

      As the Club’s fast-casual dining option, Courtside Cafe offers both counter service and table service, providing members of all ages the greatest flexibility and choice. Courtside Cafe is open on a daily basis for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and makes an ideal gathering place for a morning cappuccino or a light bite.

      Courtside Cafe’s menus feature a selection of health-conscious choices and traditional pub-style offerings, as well as a variety of quick, convenience items for members with time constraints.

      Members and guests are permitted to use electronic devices in Courtside Cafe, provided the devices are inaudible to others while in operation.

  • Bistro Twenty20

    • What Does Twenty20 Mean?



      Yes, it is the year in which the Bistro was founded, however Twenty20 also has particular relevance to Merion’s founding sport, cricket. Twenty20 cricket (or Twenty-20 or T20) is a new style of the game which is full of action and played in a shortened format. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game the two teams have a single inning each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. Together, with first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three current forms of cricket recognized by the International Cricket Council as being at the highest international or domestic level. A typical Twenty20 game is completed in about three hours, with each inning lasting around 90 minutes and an official 10-minute break between the innings. This is much shorter than previous forms of the game, introduced as a fast-paced game that would be attractive to spectators.
